July, 2007 Sanden Wins Honda Productivity Award Sanden Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of compressors and other AC components, has won 2008 Honda Productivity Improvement Award. Sanden International USA Inc (SIA) received the award from Honda of America Manufacturing in recognition of cost reduction through productivity improvement. The award was presented to Earl Bloom, Vice President of Sales Division, by Masaaki Kato, President of Honda at ceremony in Columbus, Ohio in March 2008. Approximately 400 people attended to the ceremony and 8 suppliers received productivity award in 2008. In July Sanden held a special ceremony to congratulate efforts of production staff at SIA Headquarter office in Wylie, Texas. Ronald J. Shebek, Manager of Cost Planning Group from Honda was invited and presented the award to Kent Nishimura, President and CEO of SIA in the ceremony. Sanden International USA Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Sanden Corporation of Japan. Sanden currently operates in 80 locations worldwide. The company's main lines of business include automotive air-conditioning equipment, retail store systems and vending machines, and home air-conditioning systems.
